Green Chromium Oxide Bar for Strop Sharpening The green bar is made of chromium oxide powder in a wax base. It is ideal for stropping carving tools using either a leather strop or power strop or cloth buffer on a motor. The bar measures 1 1/4" X 1" X 5". The green bar is a finer abrasive than the white bar and is better for a finer edge especially on very hard steels. Many have remarked that this is the best compound that they have ever used.
